The Other Self/ Flesh Series – Temporalities I

These works Temporalities I are from Flesh Series referring to inexorable relationship of materiality and the body. Gypsum bandage- a material, used for treatment to fix broken bones also covers the skin and flesh as a new outer skin, develops a relationship with body during physical injury and trauma. In this series, the combination of materiality- meat and gypsum bandage refers to inside and outside of body and healing processes - mending, repairing, joining and the form is meaningful as a container for the body, soul etc.
